Celebrating the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations

December 3, 2015 (Beijing) - Celebrating the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations and the Canada-China Year of People-to-People and Cultural Exchange, The Canadian Embassy and the Canadian Alumni Network celebrated with an “Homecoming” reception at the Canadian Embassy on Thursday evening. His Excellency, Ambassador Guy Saint-Jacques, Honourary Chair of the Canadian Alumni Network, and Mr. Richard N. Liu, Founder of the Canadian Alumni Network and Canadians in China, invited 60 alumni residing in Beijing to join in the celebration of this special year and their many achievements.



The Canadian Alumni Network (CAN), as a non-profit, volunteer-based group of 26 alumni chapter representatives, continue to connect our rapidly growing network with engagement experiences at the national, provincial, and institutional levels, extending mutual support to alumni chapters in China, and to develop synergy and opportunities for currently 2,200 alumni in Beijing and over 16,000 alumni in China. Since 2003, the CAN has been fostering public awareness that Canadian post-secondary institutions have an influential alumni network in China.
